How I Became a Sticker Artist

I never set out to be a sticker artist, but sometimes life has its own plans. After more than ten years managing call centers, I found myself craving the creativity my corporate job just didn’t offer. When my first two kids were born, I knew it was time to step away from that world and find a new direction—one where I could bring art and imagination back into my life.

From Business Owner to Sticker Artist

My journey as a sticker artist began in an unexpected place: an Amazon store. I initially ran a successful business selling household goods, but my passion for art, nature, and technology kept calling me back. Dark Moon Paper was born from this desire to bring something fresh to the planner world—something that lets people express themselves creatively in a way that goes beyond just organizing tasks.

The Power of Stickers for Creativity and Focus

As a sticker artist, I’ve learned that using stickers is more than just a fun extra. At one point, I stopped using planners and stickers, thinking they were simply decorative. But I soon realized how much they helped me manage my ADHD by adding excitement and focus to my day. Creating and decorating with beautiful stickers turned planning into a creative, fulfilling experience that kept me on track.

Mixing the Unexpected: My Design Philosophy as a Sticker Artist

In my work as a sticker artist, I focus on combining the unexpected. I’m drawn to exploring unique themes and merging modern techniques with traditional drawing to create bold, original sticker kits. From bringing household appliances to life to crafting dreamy celestial landscapes, I’m constantly experimenting with themes that don’t typically belong together. That’s where the creativity and excitement of being a sticker artist really comes alive.

Life Beyond the Studio: Nature and Inspiration

When I’m not designing, I’m out in the Oregon woods with my Golden Guernsey goats. Raising this rare breed is chaotic, especially in the spring when I’m bottle-feeding baby goats. This hands-on experience in nature brings balance to my work and reminds me that some of life’s best moments are a little messy. The beauty of the natural world and the joy of caring for animals deeply influence my work as a sticker artist.

Planning Inspiration

Hello and welcome!

I’m Rachael Snow, a lifelong artist and entrepreneur, and I started Dark Moon Paper to blend my love of art, technology, and the mysterious beauty of the world around us. My sticker kits are meant to set the mood, tell a story, and give you a little escape from the ordinary.

I work from my cozy studio tucked away in the beautiful woods of Oregon, surrounded by nature and all its wonders. My connection to the natural world is woven into everything I do, and it constantly reminds me that whether it’s something we build or something we grow, it’s all part of the same universal spirit.
